AWID published a 60 page catalogue
which includes historical information as

designers. Design professionals, librairies,

the United States, Canada and Europe

Did you know that a woman designed Shaquille O'Neal's Shaq Attack shoes? Her name is Judy Ringel Close. You can find out about her and many other women who are actively designing in the industrial design field in the 60 page book titled Goddess in the Details: Product Design by Women.
There are over 50 accompanying photos, biographical information as well as information about each designer's point of view.
You will also find an historical section with information on some of the forerunners of modern design such as Eileen Gray, Suzanne Vanderbilt and the Damsels of Design, who worked for General Motors.
