Writer Jonathan Lethem lets loose quite the convincing rant about Gehry/Ratner's plans for Fort Greene/Park Slope/Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Gehry/Ratner feelings aside, I live there and I like it the way it is. I like my cheap rent mostly...and you know, sunlight and stuff. We might have to put the kabash on this one.

I;m pretty tired of Gehry's "tagging" style of architecture. Few architectes do such a great job at saying "I'M SELF-IMPORTANT AND I NEED TO STAND OUT"
Maybe if he was introduced into a can of spraypaint he would have had a prolific career with the NYC transit system.
When there is no room to move out, move up. This is just the first occurance of something that is bound to be prolific as time goes on.
