How could such an issue (see post below) possibly go a couple weeks without a get-the-story-straight retaliation? Roughly Drafted serves up a nice "booya" to the GP crew.

thanks scott

I'm a big mac fan and all - but I have to admit sometimes I do get confused and let myself believe that the pure designs and the slick publicity are proof of good environmental and corporate ethics. Even if the Greenpeace peeps made some spelling errors or exagerated - I think they are pointing to a very real and overlooked issue: behind every elegant laptop is a giant pile of chemical byproducts and waste material. We rarely hear a debate about this - or the fact that all these objects are designed to be obsolete in a couple of months. It bodes well for tech bloggers and computer salesmen, but it will never be good for the environment. Just imagine if apple sold a computer that would last more than a year or two - they could call it the volvo! Designed for life. It seems absurd - but then go check out the mountains of keyboards monitors and toxic bateries that are piling up in wastesites all over the world. I think this blog would do well to put brand loyalty aside for awhile. Instead of throwing up a polemic against greenpeace - why not provide them with some good editing and carry on the important questions they have raised?

In regards to the roughly drafted article..... the author makes good points and presents a valid argument...but the overwhelming display of itunes and ipod ads running along the right column makes me a bit skeptical. I mean, were there even any other ads on that page?? I didnt notice any. It is clear this author has his own bias and motives as well.
