I've been posting frequently on design in Singapore and India lately, so this kills two birds with one stone. Singapore's Senior Minister (ex Prime Minister) Goh Chok Tong visited the National Institute of Design at Ahmedabad, India this week to urge collaboration and cooperation between the two nations. 'South East Asia has a lot of common issues to be tackled. Its time to rise up to the occasion and have collaborative projects with Singapore institutes," said Akhil Succena, Activity Chairperson (Education), NID.

It would be more useful to send missions to Africa and to look into solving some of the many problems there. Sparks of ideas can help S'pore develop new products, rather than going to India for some crumbs!
