Daft Punk rocked Keyspan Park in Coney Island, Brooklyn last night, and for all you lighting designers and fanatics out there, this light show was not one to be missed. With a flashing, neon-crazy-fun-time geometric backdrop and light-up pyramid, it felt nearly like an outer space robot rave. A major highlight was when even the costumes lit up, highlighted by neon red piping, accounting for every single thing on stage being illuminated. This certainly was not a show for epileptics. Way cooler than the 2012 hype.
You can check out everyone's pix on Flickr, but be warned, there are a few unsavory party shots up there that someone might regret later.

I'm not positive those were flourescent tubes just because the way the light was controlled. If anyone knows what they did use? Or what kind of flourescence that was it would be appreciated if you could pass that along.
Daft Punk's Keyspan concert ruled my face. I knew pretty much within hours of seeing them in Miami last November, that I would travel pretty much anywhere in the continental USA to get another look at one of their shows.
They are not florescent tubes, they use some sort of an RGB (red green blue) LED strip. Basicaly a bunch of LED's that are fully controllable and can mix to make any color. I have a feeling they are made by Color Kinetics.
check http://www.elementlabs.com for lighting info
i got pretty close to their stage in ireland earlier this year and i can tell you that they are tubes
I have the Alive 2007 Album off of iTunes, and the digital booklet shows what appears to be dual Hog iPC consoles for control, and I'm unsure, but it looks like a load of Martin fixtures.
