If you are in NYC tomorrow evening, check out this concept exhibition:
For the second year in a row, Parsons Illustration students were challenged to redesign a chair (this year was Gehry's 6.5 lb. Superlight Chair). Designs will include a chair turned into a disco ball, a chair sprouting long locks of hair and the one above by Paul Kim, which turns Gehry's design into a comic book tale. You are invited to discuss the results with Parsons Illustration chair Steven Guarnaccia, Emeco's Dan Fogelson and the student-creators themselves. Snacks and wine will be served.Re-Imagining the Chair
Wednesday, December 10, 7-9pm
Design within Reach, Chelsea Studio
408 West 14th Street (between 9th and 10th Ave.)
