For the first time in all of its 50 years, Philip Johnson's Glass House, a true icon of the International Style, is open for the public to praise and peruse. Make your way out to New Canaan, CT to experience the 47-acre site (tours include a 1/2 mile walking tour with access to the Glass House, Brick House, Painting Gallery, Sculpture Gallery, and Da Monsta) and 2,000 square-foot Visitor Center, currently featuring an exhibition. Tours will run annually from April to October, ranging from a 90-minute tour at $25 per person to a, curator-led personal tour at $500 per person (at least it includes a picnic lunch).
