The North American Handmade Bicycle Show rolled into Portland Oregon last weekend sending the already fanatic bike town into a frenzy! By coincidence C77 reps were on the ground and managed to throw together this small gallery of pics documenting the amazing array of craftsmanship, style and design on display at the show. - Even if you've forgotten how to ride a bike you'll want to peruse this collection of photos for inspiration.

Every industrial designer should be proud. COURAGE, who won the award for Best New Builder of the Year is run by a gifted ID guy (Aaron Hayes formerly at Ziba in Portland). Leveraging a user-centered design methodology to get to meaningful, pragmatic, and beautiful solutions was at the core of our success at the show. We also put a lot of effort into solid branding and building a story that everyone can be a part of, another important thing we all learned in school. Check out our website for more pics of the bikes, and if you are in Chicago check out Roscoe Village Bikes in about a month to see one of the bikes in person.
Sorry to sound like I am selling our bikes, but really it is just great to see what happens when an ID guy gets into a niche market by leveraging the unique skill set we have worked so hard to master, and then it is posted on Core77! Thanks, J
The show was great. What if we all rode our bike to work one morning? I mean all. It would be a quiet polite, smog free PDX. It would be so freakin utopiaIK.
Have to say as a metal fabricator that the show had some great craftsmen and I really enjoyed it.
