That's a lot of acronyms, but it was a packed house last night at the powerHouse Arena in Brooklyn for the opening of Design C.L.O.Tinspiring work from Pratt Institute's graduate ID department. Here's the description from the organizers:
The show features work of recent graduates where the inspiration differs, while the drive to improve the world through objects unites. This exhibition highlights designs that move beyond products, springing to life with use, challenging our perception of the world around us and of our role in it.From fashion accessories to domestic accoutrement, these designers envision our environments and lifestyles in dynamic new ways. They represent the future, their visionary concepts teach us about sight, invite us to learn and thrill us with surprise. Get excited about the future of design with the energy and gusto of the work.
The show will run from April 27th though May 9th, so if you're in the neighborhood for next weekend's Brooklyn Designs, be sure to stop by.
