The Age of the World containers, by Mathieu Lehanneur, beautifully illustrate the age pyramids of 5 different countries through variance in the 100 layers that stack up to form them. Each ring represents the size of an age group in one country's population, beginning at birth and ending at death. The jars (urns?) will be shown at the Issey Miyake store in Paris during Fashion Week in October. Currently, France, Japan, Egypt, Russia and the USA are represented, but custom pieces will be available for commission.
More shots after the jump.
