I wanted to add an explanation to answer a question someone asked.. why would the liquid stay in the bottom of the cup?
It has to do with surface tension and wetting angle, which is the attraction between water molecules themselves and their attraction to surfaces they touch. More info here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wetting. The material and texture of the cup, as well as the geometry, would be very important in a product like this. This property of liquids is what what kept the coffee in Mr. Petitt's cup in the video...
