Melbourne, Australia-based furniture designer Tim Collins has recently won first prize at the Vivid competition at Furnitex. The BOH (found in the Back Of Hotels) lamps are made from recycled containers and sell for $95 at the National Design Centre.

"The judges described his piece as having a strong message about recycling. But they also found it "very Australian" and said it "makes you smile"." -- Making a found object into a lamp is craft, not something that should be in a National Design Center, and charging $95 doesn't make it "highly accessible". - This is a joke
i guess this is a clear example of taking one (or more in this case) step backward to move a couple steps forward.
It does make you smile. As long as it sheds enough light to be either romantic or for me not trip up in the dark in a room, then it's functional and a piece of art. In addition, $95 is less than what someone would spend on a few drinks on a Friday night. See, I do read these articles properly.
