Refrigerators have been able to dispense drinking water for years--though if that water line ever broke and you needed to replace it, you know what a pain in the neck they can be.
Electrolux's latest 'fridge, the sexily-named ENA34305W1, features an integrated Brita dispenser. Frankly, we're surprised it's taken someone this long to think of it--it is, after all, essentially just a hole punched through the door! The pitcher's mounted on the other side and you fill it yourself, so there's no water line to hook up.
What we want to see next: An OJ dispenser.

my ma has got one of these. its a good idea but not very well executed. difficult to refill - the shelf above it is too close to get good access - end up with a wet kitchen floor.
great idea on the OJ dispenser, infact, why not have numerous dispensers for cold liquids, water, oj, milk, beer, wine... would also stop the fridge heating up inside when the door gets opened and thus having to pump back down to a lower temp again, saving energy... hmmm :)
