Well readers, it looks like we beat out PicoCool in the category of Best Design Blogs for the Battle of the Blogs 2009. Which is kinda cool because we didn't even know we'd been entered.
Have a look at some of the other winners and runners-up (winners listed first):
Battle of the Music Blogs: The Hype Machine Vs. Filter Magazine
Battle of the Gadget Blogs: Gizmodo Vs. Engadget
Battle of the PhotoBlogs: The Big Picture Vs. SavePolaroid
In any case, please excuse our indulgent, self-congratulatory back-clapping. Tell us the truth--do you love our blog? Hate it? Like parts of it but dislike other parts? Why? Tell us in the comments!

I mostly like your blog. Especially when you write something smart and relevant to communication and design--because mostly, your writing is super solid. But I often find that the design awesomeness you post is oldish news, stuff I've seen before on other blogs. Still, you're in my google reader, so that's gotta mean something.
Love the blog, but frankly, the comment system kind of blows. It'd be nice if people could comment more easily, after all, this is a blog.
I think separating the comments section from the post leads to fewer comments. You should move the "hot this month" to some place else if you'd like a livelier debate
otherwise, I love your blog, keep on the good work!
Yes, good job Core77. I have to admit that I let my IDSA membership evaporate mainly because I get more from this website than from that globally striving - yet wants to be local -organization. So, yes you win twice. Keep up the good work.
I love it !! We don't have any chance to have a blog like this in France. I love the huge photo galleries, the conference and events reports, the 3D news, the SO interesting design writings, and everything that I forget !
Keep going !
I think it's great! Even though I'm pretty aware/addicted to what's happening on the internet, I've never even heard of PicoCool (but then again, I'm not an ID-er).
Truth be told, I'm diggin' the layout of PicoCool. The paneled blog posts seem to be a new thing I've recently started seeing pop up, and their main page is a lot less cluttered than Core77's (hint hint).
