The Why Cry Baby Cry Analyzer is an electronic monitor capable of identifying the reasons why a baby is crying. This sound sensitive device is programmed to recognize different pitches and then digitally analyze and transmit the baby’s cry into one of five simple expressions - hungry, bored, annoyed, sleepy or stressed. A perfect gift for robotic mothers on Mother's day.

I think some one has been watching the simpsons as much as me!!!
Once again, life imitates The Simpsons! "It measures the pitch, the frequency, and the urgency of a baby's cry,
and then tells whoever's around, in plain English, exactly what the
baby's trying to say! Everything from 'Change me' to 'Turn off that
damn Raffi record!'

This really seems like snake oil - as a parent, there's no worse way to separate any bond between a kid and parent than reliance on a gadget that promises so much.
This is basically a "universal translator" that translates what kids are bawling about into language we understand. Wow!
