This is a great example of designing an experience and not a product. A UK-based company called Morgan currently manufactures a three-wheeled car based on a mechanical layout from 1910, but updated with a current-model motorcycle engine (featuring two massive cylinders that each displace a liter) and a Mazda five-speed transmission. The modern-day version is designed to give you the sensation of flying rather than driving, and this car looks—and sounds—like so much freaking fun to pilot:
Auto enthusiast Jay Leno put it best after taking the test drive: "With a lot of modern cars you go 100 and it feels like 40. With this you go 40, and it feels like 100."
