We would have thought the Asia-Pacific region led the world in terms of robot density, but according to a study by technology magazine IEEE Spectrum, Europe actually leads the way, with an average of 50 industrial robots per 10,000 humans working in manufacturing versus Asia's 27. (Japan, however, holds the national lead, with 295 per 10,000, versus leading European robo-country Germany's 163.)
Industrial robots have many advantages, not the least of which being they can withstand temperatures that humans cannot.

Many sophisticated robots can perform their work without any direct supervision.

And they will often work ceaselessly and tirelessly to achieve their goals.
