I just found a reference to a new product called Bees Knees (above left), pants with built in neoprene kneepads to protect baby's knees. Back in the day pants with reinforced knees were only available for older kids, and were sold by Sears as Toughskins (above right). The reinforcement was not soft, but the styling was undeniable!
