This is not the world's smallest accordion but FLX, a flexible USB-drive. Design student Jacek Ryn recently designed and prototyped his idea at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk (Poland).
The casing is made of a colored silicone and makes smart use of the materials' natural elasticity to reveal the plug when pushed into the socket, and automatically slip back when removed.

im happy to see some polish ideas!
It looks good, but is it pratical? By the looks of it, I reckon it is pretty hard to get it perfectly lined up with a usb port before pressing it in. Either that or you'll have to 'peel it' before trying to connect it
This is a great idea for a cap. If it were actually a cap. The end is wide open! Put your wallets away, it's just another almost-good idea.
Sandisk have been selling similar for a long time, the connector pushes out of the case, voila; no cap.
@ ricper: If anything, you could just snip off the first ridge of the plastic casing so there's a smidgeon of the plug sticking out to assist with the alignment before shoving it in.
