A funny little side note found on mb: Modern Logos for Company Logo Designer 1.01 allows businesses to create their very own web 2.0-ish logos from a selection of templates and customization tools...for FREE. Should branding designers be afraid? This quote seems to allude to the idea:

I think this is a great idea, think of it as a busybox for control-freak clients that gets them out of our hair. Lots of clients think they can design, let us automate that process. This is great.
Hey, if all you're providing to your client is a piece of near-generic eye-canding, you're already competing with the VP Marketing's teenage daughter, so why worry?
How is this little fractal app a threat to serious brand design companies? Any company that thinks an app worth 49 bucks can replace true marketing and design strategy is truly a 'client from hell', or just sabotaging their own growth.
Programs like these are better for us, the design community, because it ferrets out the silly clients.
