Mosquito season's almost over in your correspondent's location in the northeastern U.S., but for those with year-round pest problems, perhaps you need to get your hands on one of these. This Japanese insect vacuum is a non-lethal and Buddhist-friedly way getting rid of bugs; it sucks the little critters up, alive, and imprisons them in a little canister so you can decide what to do with them later. Perhaps most impressive, it uses no batteries or power, relying on plain-ol' pneumatics for the suction. Check out the video.
