Tossin' m'cookies over here. No words exist to describe this situation. Let's just pull a few quotes from the Genpets site:

I highly recommend keeping it away from sentimental, animal-loving kids given they only come in 1 or 3 year life spans, although they claim it to be "child-safe" (along with hypo-allergenic).

Yeah, I goto the Ontario college of Art and Design, and these have been in the graduate show for the past two years as an integrated media piece. I think they're quite clever.
for 10 seconds i though it was real. then i doubted when i realized there were no pictures or video of genpet with open eyes...
in fact this is real...but it is a sculpture.
it's art.

You can tell from miles away that it's a joke..
The website is almost convincing except for some photos and info provided. But the puppet is qte fake looking.
This is realy messed up. it says the more expensive ones have got anamatronics. omg could you imagine being in a shop with those things filling every wall MOVING. christ the animal rights guys wouldnt know what to think.
I want one. They are supposed to be released next year. I went to www.genpets.com and they haven't set a price.
I want to see something like this in the future, it would be so sick
