In celebration of the launch of this year's Greener Gadgets Design Competition 2009, we are taking a periodic look at some of the standout entries from last year's Greener Gadget Design Competition. Below is one of our favorites: Eco Drop Shower.
It looks like a normal shower but it is not. The secret is in the base: normally it is wonderfully shaped with concentric circles conveying the waves of the falling drops. But after having been staying under the water for too long something happens.. those circles rise, so that you are not allowed to stay longer in the shower, and you are forced to turn off the water and go out. "Eco_Drop" Shower will help save water and energy.

Eco Drop Shower. Imagine the liability nightmare. The shower is the last place you want an uneven floor, and from the rendering, it looks slick too. The name Eco Drop says it all: dropping out of the economy under a mountain of lawsuits. At least change the name to prevent false advertising. How 'bout Slippery When Wet?
