Columbia River Knife & Tool's Guppie multi-tool, designed by Launce Barber and Tom Stokes for their I.D. Works tool family, differs from a Leatherman in that it doesn't fold up; the designers wanted it to be ready-to-go straight out of the pocket. The Guppie features an adjustable wrench, a screwdriver, a knife, an LED flashlight, a bottle- and jar-lid-opener, and can even be used as a money clip. The carabiner form factor makes it easy to hang from a belt loop.
Another neat tool designed by Barber and Stokes is the I.D. Works Flux line, which pairs a lightweight aluminum carabiner chassis with a series of modular tools that can quickly slide into it, meaning you only bring what you need. Accessories include flashlights, flash drives, corkscrews, and your more serious tools like knives and drivers.
