We can't wait to see what IDEO cooks up for Air New Zealand; ANZ has just contracted the design firm to do the interiors for their new 777 and 787 long-haul aircraft (pictured above).
[Air New Zealand CEO Rob] Fyfe announced that in the initial design process there has already been a shift away from traditional thinking, with more emphasis on the economy experience.
With plenty of existing aircraft interior design competition already out there (click here, here and even here), IDEO will surely be stepping things up a notch. Alas, to see we'll have to wait until 2010 or 2011, when ANZ takes final delivery.
