An NYC apartment wall-climbing excursion amidst a sea of cheap IKEA frames and rogue push-pins would most definitely result in a trip to the ER. Luckily, Tokyo's Illoiha fitness center has an Omotesando-style climbing wall, designed by Japanese start-up design firm Nendo, for those who seek domestic adventures with a touch of class. Ornate frames, mirrors, birdcages, taxidermy trophy heads, and vases are secured (at least we hope they are) to the wall for members to step upon and grapple.
