This just in: the winners of Inhabitat's Spring Greening Competition have been announced. Sarah Turner took the Reader's Choice prize with 3674 votes for her soda bottle lamps, a series made from...you guessed it...soda bottles, transformed into paper-like lantern shades.

The panel of judges went for something a little bit tougher: SystemDesignStudio's Elasticshelf took the Editor's Choice prize. Out-of-commission bicycle tires are stretched over old furniture legs to make a fun and flexible storage space for books.
