These days it's mostly software that distinguishes one cell phone from another, but some companies are still playing around with new physical features. Today LG debuts their new GD900 cell phone at Spain's Mobile World Congress. Strikingly, the phone has a slide-out keyboard that's completely transparent and ringed with an illuminating element.
Is the transparent keyboard strong enough as a design feature for people to buy it? We'll know better in Spring of this year, when the phone is schedule to hit the market.

Chris Owens, a student from NC State had a very similar concept about a year ago. Saw it on Yanko and his website.
Check it out..

Dont know how ORIGINAL this product is. Chris Owens even has some interesting assembly suggestions. I wonder how LG's version will be assembled.
