Andrew Stafford's latest web project, Making Sense of Marcel Duchamp, is like a Cliff's Notes of sorts when it comes to understanding this often celebrated, yet enigmatic, artist and thinker. Click around on the interactive time line and get schooled on the life, times, and individual works of R. Mutt, er, Duchamp.

I wish this site was around when I had to write my essay on Duchamp back in junior year.
Excellent resource, amazing artist. The Fountain is one of the few pieces of real anti-art that I really love. If for some reason you ever find yourself in Philadelphia (by accident, perhaps), check out his exhibit. Nothing can replicate the experience of seeing Etant in person.
