We had an inkling early last year, and now it's come to pass: Mini's gone nuts with the features for their new Cooper Clubman, which stretches some 24 centimeters longer than the ordinary Cooper. Features include rear-passenger suicide doors, vertically-split dual hatch doors, more legroom and a bigger trunk. On the mechanical side, the Clubman features regenerative braking, a fuel-saving feature that cuts the engine at idle, ABS, tons of airbags, and a feature that stops the car from rolling backwards down the hill while you're working out the clutch and first gear at a stoplight. You'll be able to get your hands on one come November.

This should be a great hit, especially for those that really liked the MINI Cooper but just could not imagine hauling their (fill in the blank here) in that tiny boot. The Clubman will certainly bring in a range of new customers and may even be used for business applications like the Scion Xb has....we'll see.
