The San Francisco Museum of Craft + Design is apparently hoping to start a West Coast Design Miami, with an upcoming exhibition showcasing 60 Californian product designs.

"New West Coast Design" will shine a deserved spotlight on West Coast designers who might otherwise be ignored in an international setting where the name brand is king.

Pulled together with an impressively shoestring budget of only $50,000, the exhibit will feature everything from surfboards and ceramics to bicycles and furniture. Opens January 18th, click here for more info.
