They'd make a contractor wince, and a house-spouse grin: Alice Supply Co's fun line of tools and domestic implements aims to make chores, well, less of a chore, by adding a dash of color in the aesthetically-dead acts of tidying and fixing things around the house. Dustpans, buckets, garden hoses, toolboxes, the tools to go in 'em, and more.

From the point of view of someone who appreciates both design and quality tools, it's been my experience that the quality of the tools produced by companies such as this don't even come up to the level of your average big box house brand, let alone the level of real, quality tools. In the case of tools, from software to power drills, real design is about function first, then form. If the screwdriver has a lousy handle and a soft tip, it doesn't matter what color it is.
I agree with Mr. Wendell. Further, I feel like if you take a product and wrap it in a gender biased branding you are not empowering the consumer but rather talking down to them. Three cheers for any company that considers the particular needs of women, but shame on anyone who sells a tool that discourages the owner. And that goes double for my Daughter, Wife, Sister, or Mother.
