Designer Assa Ashuach, who has just completed his work as a Research Fellow at London Metropolitan University, introduces the Osteon Chair. Osteon was produced by way of laser sintering a cosmetic skin that covers an intelligent bone-like internal structure. 3-D software technology translated the optimal structure formations and points from a virtual file to a real-life object.

This is awesome.
Can someone translate this? What's an "intelligent bone-like structure...? Sounds like he rapid prototyped something out of a skin-like material. Whats cosmetic skin? No Link? I'm calling bs on this one.
yeah how can a structure be intelligent? or rather, whats the definition of intelligent in this case..
where can I buy it?
BRUTAL!!!
it looks like a photo of a three inch tall RP. i'd say he is using the term 'intelligent' pretty loosely.
this chair looks awesome but why is there no link to source more info... where can i find out more about this chair?! there is no official website for this designer?!
the chair's internal structure is intelligent since it was design by artificial intelligence (an embodied evolutionary algorithm). you can contact the designer via www.assaashuach.com
