Levi's is suing to protect its design for back-pocket stitching. Is this desperation or design? They risk being seen as a bully in a time where their competitors are more connected with customers.

Not desperation at all. Is it any different than a new shoe company affixing a "Swoosh" facsimile to the back of their shoe?
They are out of touch. How about removing the waist and length size as a start?
I'm surprised by the comment -- protecting a trademark isn't bullying and it has nothing to do with being connected to customers.
basically levi's is suing any company that has any semblance to their logo, which is very vague. I believe the patent says "two intersecting arcs" and "any piece of fabric between the back pocket of the jeans"(referring to the tab) which is akin to saying no other car company can have a hood ornament besides Mercedes. or take a look at Brooks vs Nike those are similar but still different. I like my levis. I like the "butts-up". This article is dumb, and shouldn't have even come up. daniel hit it on the nose.
Ironic is it not that they sued.. "Jelessy"; suck it up Levis.
