RedFerret shows us the Spy-Cye, a so-called domestic robot. From your PC, you can remote-control the floor-level, camera-equipped Spy-Cye to vacuum the floors or scandalize women in skirts.
I admit I'm a bit of a robophobe, but I don't know if remote-controlled robots with cameras is a step in the right direction. It reminds me of the Asimo robot demonstration at this year's Consumer Electronics Show, which revealed Honda engineers have taught the little bastard to run. Autonomous robots that can outrun you, now I'm sure that's not a good idea.

Neoforma Design created the total brand image of Cye including the industrial design, product identity, website, displays, and software GUI. This product appeared in Wired Magazine, Time, and other publications.
One of the truly magical characteristics of this product is how it finds the best path. The screen actually shows a laser-like line that “thinks” it’s way between locations in any floor plan. Also, I was always amazed by how this product moves as if it actually is seeing where it’s going. We designed attachment accessories that could be pulled along.
Cye is the predecessor really to another product called "TUG", an indoor automated transport for hospitals. It is produced my Aethon, Inc. (www.aethon.com). Neoforma Design also created the total brand system for this company including the industrial design, product and corporate identity, and trade exhibit design.
