Now that Nokia is opening a design studio in Bangalore (see earlier Core77 post), it is worthwhile delving into this a bit more.
The studio is set up in partnership with the Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, where it will also be housed, and will focus on co-creation and ethnography, with a specific interest in the use of internet on the mobile phone.
It builds on a previous collaboration centred around Nokia Design's Only Planet international student programme, which began at the Doors 8 conference in New Delhi last year. A beautiful submission report can be downloaded here (16.2 mb).
