New magazine Design Bureau posted a mini-Q&A with one of our favorite design experts, Steven Heller, on the old and new with a nd to Rick Meyerowitz's 1971 piece Mona Gorilla, pictured above.
Along with death and taxes, another certainty is that new becomes old. Invariably, art and design will age. The challenge for artists and designers, therefore, is to create something that gets old gracefully.

That is why i rate most of current art as just an happening without -using an in vogue word- "sustainable" value.
