The DMZ between urban and suburban America, where empty lots give way to supermarket parking spaces, teems with a singular kind of beast: the abandoned shopping cart. Artist Julian Montague is their Audubon, photographing, cataloging, and organizing the specimens with a hilarious and brilliant system. If you're playing along at home, the cart above is an Archaic, Vandalized True Stray Fragment.
