Amy Jussel of the blog Shaping Youth expressed heavy concerns (a.k.a. calling it "sexualized ad slop") to Target only to be told, "Unfortunately we are unable to respond to your inquiry because Target does not participate with nontraditional media outlets," by PR. And suddenly the story isn't about crotches anymore.

im going to have to agree with Amy Jussel on this one, but not just about Target, but about all advertisement made in general.. we as a society are over "sexualized" and its sending our youth the wrong message (in a way taking away their innocent views too early) things need to change..
I'm sure Seth Godin will have some sort of response to this. Ignore "nontraditional media" at your peril.
