
Austrian designer Christian Precht's "Hold the Line" bench is designed for waiting areas in public spaces like banks, movie theaters, playgrounds, and offices. The form is meant to allude to the looping quality of a queue, and would be wired with power for laptops.
You may recognize Precht's name--he's recently been making the blog rounds for his OrganiCube project, a conceptual design for living in a 3 x 3 x 3-meter space. While you might expect a living space designed to fit into 9 square meters to look like this,
