We often place little regard for out remote controls, that is until we lose them and go nuts trying to find them again. The idea behind the Ceramic Remote, created by Japanese designer Yuta Watanabe, is when something is beautiful and delicate, we place more value on it. Obviously since a ceramic remote would easily shatter if tossed around like a plastic one, we would be more careful. It also looks more like home decor when not in use instead of an off-limits chew toy for fido.

Man, the Japanese create some strange, but pretty, things. Me thinks they have too much time on their hands.
This looks a little suspiscious!! Im sure I saw this idea from a central saint martins student in 2005/2006 for hulger. Hope Yuta has given credit where it is due and has permission from Hulger ltd.

I know I saw this idea at a degree show ages ago. Surely this is breaking intellectual property rights
Yuta doesn't have kids...
