Wired.com has a photo gallery on television sets through the years, and it's totally fascinating to see the form factors that designers, over the decades, came up with for our once-beloved idiot box. I found myself staring at the photos like, well, like they were TV.

Since some of this focuses on not only the technology behind televisions, but also the design, it seems to me they left out the last decade and half of television (crt) design. In fact, what could be the last look to the CRT before it disappears forever as plasma and lcd monitors start to dominate the market.
