The Ovei home cinema pod launched at this year's CEDIA UK show with a price tag of £50,000. Designed by Lee McCormack--founder of the online community 'designers are wankers'--and engineered by McLaren Applied Technologies, the pod has been in development for six years. Core was first introduced to the Ovei when it was formally known as the Oculas at the London Design Festival in 2006.
The pods immersive environment is customized to the client's specifications, tailored for gaming or home cinema use. The hand crafted leather interior features climate control, ambient lighting, 5.1.soundscape and personal computing all controlled via a Wi-Fi touch panel control system. Just choose a color scheme, drop in a PS3 or Xbox and you're good to go.

Yes this is exactly what the world needs to put video game addicts in to personalized capsules.
I tried one of those at Designersblock, although it was not the McLaren version but it blew my mind away - I watched a short film in there by Future Shorts and I'll never forget it - gamers can disappear in it as much as they like but I want one for film....: )
at $50,000 they can keep it. Nothing justifies that price tag.
