Who knew? On Amazon you can buy rare copies of Industrial Design Magazine, a "monthly periodical published for active designers and for executives throughout industry who are concerned with product planning, product design, packaging, and marketing."
What makes these issues so rare? They're from 1959 to 1967, meaning there ought to be some killer Mad-Men-era design objects between the covers. A sample of what's in one of the issues (April '67):
Approaching Color Control; Hearken the Oracles of Color (re color forecasters, consultants, and market researchers); National Home Fashions League Color Symposium; Printing in Color; Project Satell-Air; Materials Guide: Finishes for Aluminum; Packaging in Men's Toiletries; the new Pratt Institute Graduate Program in Package Design; much more.
The cheapest issue will run you 12 bucks, while an entire year of issues is going for about $255.
