
Recently shown at London Design Week for Something for Nothing, British Designer Mark Irlam's Wasp Nest lamp, is directly inspired by the natural geometric beauty and strength found in real wasp nests. The shade was produced using computer-generated files read by a rapid-protoype laser printing machine. Irlam is currently seeking manufacturing and distribution opportunites. my only question is where does one begin to seek manufacturing and distro opportunities for something like this? I ask because I have similar ideas..

looks like the exact same concept in octobers metropolis, using what they called flexcomb, basically a bunch of straws welded together, which form hexagons... bleh
