Do you realize you're carrying a piece of 4,000-year-old technology in your pocket or purse? Egyptians first invented locks and keys four millenia ago, and here we are still hauling them around, even if we did upgrade them from wood to metal.
But a high-tech key hack does exist, at least for those of us urban dwellers with front-door buzzers. This fellow used 30 bucks worth of cheap RF technology to wire his door buzzer to a key fob, like a car alarm, so all he does is hit the button and BZZZZ, front door's open.
And don't worry, the 30 bucks includes a rolling-code transmitter, so not just any ya-ya with a remote control can pop your door open and plunder the place like Tutankhamen's grave.
