Volkswagen has put up an element on their German website called the "Tiguan Base," where you can see the development of their new Tiguan auto concept, from early sketches right up to the real thing.

To see the display you'll need to register, but registration's free and you can win a trip to Frankfurt for doing so. The initial page is in German, but if you want to give it a whirl, we've figured out how to access it in English:

- On the page that loads, click the link that says "Weitur zur Tiguan Base"
- Skip the demo (or watch it, if you've got the time)
- From the pulldown on the lower right, select "Australia" (there's no U.S. option)
