Someone's buying a lot of chlorine. That there is the largest swimming pool in the world, in the Chilean resort town of San Alfonso Del Mar. How large is large? The thing is a full kilometer in length, and displaces 6,000 average swimming pools. You lose an earring in there, you can kiss it goodbye.

First question is...why??? I can see native birds landing their instead of the ocean, that won't be good. There is no reason to create a 1 Kilometer long pool RIGHT next to the ocean!

That's pretty funny considering there's a perfectly good ocean right in front of it.
What a GREAT idea! No sharks, jellyfish, crabs, stingrays, or plastic soda can rings to get caught in! Stupid ocean.
