Today's NYTimes features a front-page story on OLPC, telling the story well and recognizing chief technologist Mary Lou Jepsen, visionary Nicholas Negroponte, and software lead Walter Bender. But alas, not a drop of ink for the design firms. ("The story wasn't about that!") Still. Not Continuum, not Pentagram (Lisa Strausfeld, UI), not Fuse Project, and wasn't frog in there somewhere? Anyone else have their finger in this pie? Comment away.

Was listen to Harry West from Contimuum at Future Design Days in Stockholm some weeks ago. He noted that ALL the other speakers before him where showing/talking about OLPC in their lectures. A good project for a good reason!
one lapdance per child is more like it...what a dumb and wasteful idea.
How about $100 lap tops for American kids
