Timothy just sent this link in, and it got us thinking about cutting the material up and using it for some hot rapid prototyping/breadboarding action. Anyone out there know what this stuff is, or have any ideas for it? (Other than a vase, of course.)

Can't identify the exact plastic, but it's a thermoplastic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermoplastic) with a very low glass transition temperature. Similar plastics are used to make re-formable athletic mouthguards (the ones you boil and bite).
interesting use of meterial, not realy the best use in my oppinion, isnt that the stuff they make the love fish you get out of chrismas crackers from, and can you imagine what would happen if you put it in front of the heater/radiator.
Astute reader Roger Gray points out that the material used for the Wonder Vase is most likely Veriflex. Check the link for yourself:

HOLY BATMAN! That's some wicked material!
Someone told me it might be PPMA (poly propyl methacrylat)
